 Salem's Lot - Another Fine Work From the Novelist of IT, The Shining 

Stephen King's other famous novel is "Salem's Lot". Published in 1975, this horror novel gained instantaneous praise among horror fans and vampire enthusiasts. This book is devoted to the author's daughter named Naomi. This novel got two nominations - World Fantasy Award in 1976 and Locus Award for the All-time Best Fantasy novel in 1987.

The story starts with a writer named Ben Mears who has a friend named Matt and Susan, who is in a relationship with Ben. Ben has returned to his original town to write a book about the Marsten House, where he used to live in his childhood. Later he learns that the house is bought by a person named Kurt Barlow and his partner Richard Straker. It turns out that Barlow is a historical vampire who has some terrible plans.

Soon there was a disappearance in the town, of a boy named Raphie, whose brother Danny turned into a vampire after bitten by Marlow. Marlow also turns various people of the town, supported by Danny. Within few days, almost the whole town is filled with vampires. However, Ben and Susan form a team with Matt, Jimmy, Mark and Father Callahan.

Barlow kills Mark's parents and challenges Callahan to throw the cross away. He forces Callahan to drink vampire blood to " unclean" him. On the other hand, Jimmy gets killed by falling from Stairs and gets stabbed with knives. What happens to Ben and Mark then??.….…....... To be continued.
