 Darkest Corners---part 1

9. We have a plan!

Markus, Michaela and Marklo; the future Markus was walking through the forests. Michaela was leading the trio, as she was the leader of the Girl's scout, who knows how to lead a team. The night was dark, the woods look different as if it knows that they are coming. Weird noises of insects could be heard, winds blowing off the giant leaves of the trees, shadows lurking everywhere. The darkness and eerie noises gave the two kids goosebumps, but Marklo was there, standing like a bodyguard,  protecting them from all sorts of negativity.

They reached a certain point in the middle of the woods. From there, they could see a plain land, without any grass or trees, just a patch of soil. It looked like a crash site, just like a meteor has crashed there and created a huge cavity on the ground. Marklo pointed there, and said," Teufel has come ". Markus asked," Now, who the heck is this guy Teufel?" Michaela made a face at his poor English and said," It's Teufel, that's what Marklo calls him. Apparently, Marklo has fought him shortly and Teufel is here to kill you, Markus".

"What have I done to him?" Markus asked her. "Nothing, but he is here to kill you and remove the existence of Marklo, so if you are not there in the timeline, Marklo will never be in this reality." Markus thought for a second and said," Sounds like, I need to focus on my Physics classes!" Michaela resumed moving forward. Markus turned to Marklo and said," Tell me, if you are from the future, how much will I earn after getting a job? Will I be a millionaire? Will have a girlfriend or  Bugatti?" Without turning back, Michaela said," Before becoming a millionaire, you have to grow up first, kid". "Huh?" Markus inquired, Marklo said," Can't tell you". "Why is that?" Markus asked. "Because the more he talks, the more will it disrupt the timeline", Michaela said. 

After walking for like one hour, they finally reached the place. "Look, there is Star Corporation, the place where everything started", Michaela said. "So, what's the plan?", Markus said," Shall we just go and knock on their door, begging for help?" "No we can't, I have a better option. I will go inside, by taking the route from the sewers. Meanwhile, you and Marklo will guard the place. Here is the wireless transmitter, you see anything strange, inform me". "Isn't too dangerous for you to go inside alone", Markus asked her. "I will be fine don't worry, just don't fight among yourselves." Saying this Michaela went off the sewers, with a torch in her hand and a backpack around her waist. Markus and Marklo were standing outside, guarding the place in the middle of the night. 

"Ground control to delta1-3, do you copy over!", Markus screamed over the transmitter. Michaela responded," Stop shouting over the radio, it's been three minutes only, I have not yet reached the main canal, and please for God's sake, try to talk normally Markus". "Copy that, delta1-3, what's your eta, over". "THREE MINUTES, GODDAMMIT MARKUS! I told you". "Copy that delta1-3, waiting for your safe journey, take care and try to close your nose in the main canal of the sewer, ground control out!", saying this Markus closed his "channel" and stood there beside Marklo, trying to ignore the fact that someone was watching them.
