 Darkest Corners---part 1

11. A new headquarter

Markus and Marklo were wandering a few steps ahead of the two sisters through the woods when suddenly they heard a sound coming from a nearby underground cave. After much discussion, the group decided to enter the cave, which was dark as hell. Thankfully, Michaela's flashlight saved their day. On entering the cave, they found two tunnels, running exactly opposite to each other. The group got divided into two teams- Marks, along with Marklo will go through the first tunnel, whereas the two sisters will go through the other. 

"Is this the so-called SAFE place you are talking about?", Markus asked the girls over the radio. "Yes, I got this mysterious cave a few days while I was on a hike, although I have no idea what is inside this". Marklo cried out," I wassz heree". Markus said," Marklo just said that he was here before". Sara said," I think this was the place where they found Teufel too before it was taken for research". Michaela suggested," If we somehow find out, how they came here, then we can also find out how to defeat that beast." Marklo said," Time is different ". "Marklo is saying that time works differently here, what could that possibly mean?", Markus asked. Sara continued," I think what he is trying to say is that this cave has some kind of portal here, which connects it to another timeline. Due to the immense force of these beasts, they somehow broke the time barrier and reached here". "Is that even possible?", Michaela asked. "Theoretically yes but practically the chances are very less, unless...", Sara stopped for a moment to think.

"Unless what?", Michaela asked her. "He was correct, he was correct, everything is happening as he said", Sara mumbled to herself. "What are you trying to say?", Markus asked. "Few weeks, during the weekends, I was at a club with my friends when suddenly a hoodie-figure approached me. He told that he has something important to say. He was searching for someone named Bella!" "What? Bella? You mean the child who went missing when her mother was killed by a masked killer?", said Markus, who was surprised to hear that name. Sara continued," After a few minutes, the hoodie man left saying that he will come later." Michaela was listening to this very clearly. She thought to herself that what if that hoodie man is the masked killer himself or he has to do anything with the company? What if Teufel is just trying to protect them from something bigger? What if Sara is here for a reason?

After a few minutes of walking, two teams met again where the two tunnels converged to form a single path. These single paths led them to a small bunker, which was around 20 feet below the surface. Strangely, the wall was made up of thick concrete walls with thick sheets of metal, which made the inner side soundproof and warm. It had an excellent ventilation system, and the door was around 8 inches thick, which proved the fact that it was intentionally constructed to protect the people inside from radiation or any disaster. After a few trials, Sara managed to open the thick door of the bunker. Upon entering, they found themselves in a kind of bedroom. There was a large study desk, full of papers, documents, newspaper cuttings, wires, machinery etc. They analysed the wall to find pictures of Markus, Michaela, Marklo and Sara arranged in an order and connected with a threat. In the centre, was lying the picture of Teufel and the missing child, Bella. Before they could say anything, they felt that someone was standing behind them. They turned to see a black hoodie person standing behind them. It was a voice of a woman, who said," So, you are finally here?"
