13. Ready for the war

It had begun!

Barrett was walking along the dark corridors, which was surprisingly empty, not even a single living being was there. Ten minutes ago, the whole building is evacuated due to a security breach, done by Michaela and his most trusted person, Sara. Now, since all the secrets of the company are going to be revealed before the public, he has nowhere to go, except the underground level. It was a secret, hidden floor designed specifically for Barrett, in case something goes wrong with the building. The floor is fire-proof, radiation-proof and also stacked with food and supplies.

He felt that someone was standing behind him. He stopped for a moment and thought something. Without looking back, he asked the person behind him," What do you want from me?" The person turned to be the old Regina replied," I TOLD YOU EVERYTHING, I TOLD YOU THAT NOTHING CAN BE CHANGED, YOU CAN PLAY WITH THE UNIVERSE'S RULES". Barrett said," I just tried to save my son, and to give myself a second chance. Everything was going fine, and suddenly you decided to leave the project, just why?" The voice of Regina spoke out," MAYBE YOUR INTENTIONS WERE NOT GOOD, OR MAYBE YOU WEREN'T DESTINED TO BECOME A FATHER. MAYBE ANGELA NEVER LOVED OUT OR YOU NEVER LOVED HER." Barrett was angry, yet tears rolled out from his eyes, he said," I have always loved her!" The voice continued," SO YOU SEE, IT HAS BEGUN, THE WORLD WILL END SOONER OR LATER, AND NOBODY WILL BE ABLE TO STOP IT, NOBODY, NOBODY......NOT EVEN YOU BARLOEZ BARRETT!".

Barrett turned around, nobody was there. It was all him, talking to himself. Is he going mad? Could be. I took out his phone and dialled a number. "Password?", the person asked. "Hail Lucifer", Barrett said. "You have got exactly six and half minutes, what do you want?" Barrett said," I want to talk to the All-Father". "Transferring your calls, encrypting details, you are ready". Barett said," The task force is ready, very soon we will capture Teufel and also the other monster, you trust me, right? Don't you?" The person or ALL Father spoke out," Will that give you whatever you wanted ?" Barett thought for a moment, before disconnecting the call. It was all over for him, everything is lost. "Angela!", he thought," I have to save her!". He dialled a message," Get the task force ready, take everything you want, we have to go hunting, for two monsters and some silly people".
